It is impossible for AI to take my job as an industrial Instrumentation and Controls Tech. Let's see AI climb or crawl over obstacles to repair valves, transmitters and build and replace new systems for detecting temperature, flow, performing chemistry checks, environmental checks, equipment pressure etc. etc. along with the steel racks and wiring through conduits. Ride the AI wave, get into repair and installation of new devices.
