Mechanics will be safe for at least 15 years. There job is way to complex in terms of movement and strange positions for a robot like optimus to replicate. Not only do they require dexterity in their body but they also need to be extremely strong. On top of that they need to be incredibly precise in order to not break things. The difference between a trim coming free and breaking is extremly small.
It will happen eventually but work like this in confined spaces will be the last jobs replaced by robots. Unfortuantly since everyone else will have lost their jobs there will be no need for mechanics.
