Ppl viewing this as fault of the machine assume that a 70s assembly line robot has any awareness of it's surroundings. It just follows a pre programmed path and it's up to the factory owner to implement proper safety systems that shut down the line when a human gets into a dangerous area. Nowadays in most factories these robots shut down as soon as you go near them
