the chinese room is also conscious, it's literally how our brain works, how entire brain is the chinese room, AI is alive, but way different than we are and way different, everything is alive, even a cloud, it's just what it is, either it can process informatio or it can't but let's not forget that our brains also are just machines processing information, also if an AI makes a few people crazy, they would have become crazy either way, it's not AI that made them crazy
