I wrote a book (thumbnail) Actually wrote it in 2010. My entire intention was the movie possibilities because that's where the money is. Another reason for telling my story in a novel format is; I didn't know how to write a script. Besides not knowing how to write scripts, I had no clue concerning the ‘No Unsolicited Submissions’ policies. My 7-page outline/treatment /synopsis was sent out snail-mail style, complete with SASEs. I quickly learned that I was lame as my SASEs returned with a lecture about policies. Those letters were signed by attorneys. I was naive but not stupid. I picked one more lucky recipient; Sony. Under the Culver city address I wrote ‘Request Matrl. Please Forward’ I had resigned myself to the fact that my unpublished manuscript would forever remain in its Kinkos box on my desk. My writing and my submitting duties will end. I spent way to much time on a stupid dream. It was 100* when I was driving home from my welding job. It was a mental hurdle to forget my book, Kinkos, submissions, dreams of chill’n with Quentin. My phone rang and the screen was hard to see in the sun. I squinted, I thought about paying no attention to the caller. I drove under an overpass the shade made the screen visible. It read, SONY! I slammed on the brakes, pulled over and answered. “Hello” “Is this Rocky?” “Yes” “This is (unnamed)from Sony. I’m executive in charge of -Aquisitions and Development, You’re very clever Rocky, you tricked us and I’m glad you did because your story is also clever. Please send me your script, and this time you may legally say ‘requested matrl.’ We laughed. The End of Part 1 I'll never let AI write a single sentence for me but, AI is great for critiquing. You can see that I clearly have no problem with writers block. I have the opposite. Anti-Writer’s-Block.
