If AI got to the point that it could take care of us (and itself) completely, greed and capitalism (perhaps our largest impediments) could finally become obsolete, and we might get what is essentially a second childhood; when all of our needs are attended to, we will be free to explore and learn and evolve. People always worry about the implications of new technology, but they fail to consider our amazing problem-solving and adaptability. I say go for it! Go for everything!
