I think this is really sweet and encouraging and a valuable message, and I am not pro-generative-AI whatsoever (or very pro-AI in general). However, I do want to note as a fellow person with the experience of always having wanted to be able to draw well but never having been able to even through much practice AND an art class, I look at this creator’s early and self-proclaimed “bad” art, and it’s is…MILES ahead of anything I’ve ever drawn in that category (drawings of ppl or humanoids, which is what I’ve always wanted to be able to draw). Like, I hugely appreciate the sentiment and understand the message—AND I am not at all trying to defend pro-AI arguments—I just feel like it might be helpful in order to further sympathize and gain more insight into the minds of these people, to realize that your “beginner” art is still incredibly “better”/more skilled/more realistic/more proportionally sensible than that of some other people, such as myself.
