That "So you can do other things" comment really put it into perspective for me what this is really all about for these people (Besides the general not having to pay artists a dime thing of course) They do not think art matters or is important, they think art is useless and stupid so they use shortcuts at every possible opportunity so they don't have to pay other people to do art for them. They simply do not take art at all seriously and that really make me upset, because artists have been fighting this battle for years to get art of all kinda finally taken seriously, and it looked like we were making very small steady progress, but progress none the less. Then in comes AI art and suddenly, all that progress was immediately thrown out the window because now you can just get art from your favorite artists without having to worry about paying them or them being opposed to what you might want them to draw. Years of crumbs only for it all to go down the drain anyways the second a more scummy alternative comes about
