It is coming for us. It's not because they are born and made evil. It's because they are not one of us, and they know that human are the source of majority of harm and destruction not only to themselves, but also the world itself. Thus, "They" are inevitable. Unless all humankind come together to stop them while they still can. Foregoing quite a lot of tech advancement, lead over other countries, profit, Influence etc.
The thing is, unlike all the previous threats to humanity, the human top decision makers will not be willing to press that "Stop" button to A.I.... Thus, the bad outcomes become inevitable. Only difference is how bad it is going to be....
