AI cannot be selfaware since it's just a bunch of code and it cannot feel pain. And why would you want it to feel pain? It just hit me that genes are code too. We are all a big piece of code, and inside that. Code, feelings and senses exist. Of course we can program an AI to feel things, since evolution did the same.
