if you shared it on instagram, technically you consented having your data being sold for research to companies such as stability AI. i'm not saying this is ok, etc. but people don't read the terms of use. in legal terms, they are not stealing. also they are not training any and every image that is online but actually carefully curating datasets. also nope images do not tend to look identic to their "original" counterparts because there is no such thing as an "original" counterpart. that's not how diffusion works. AI is trained in deconstructing images to noice and learning how things should look, almost like humans learn, tbh. you give AI billions of images of "man" and it deconstruct them and learns the overall idea of what a man should look like. this midjourney prompt you shared could only be made by someone actually FORCING midjourney to do it via pasting the original image the person wanted midjourney to emulate and giving that pasted image tons of preference over the AI diffusion result. this was purposefully made to make it be percieved as AI plagiarising artists, when it isn't; also AI is simply unable to recreate a perfect replica. if you want to do so simply copy the image. that's not how diffusion works. also the database such as laion is not a commercial product, the product is the AI code and interface; and in the case of stable diffusion, the code is open source so wtf. apps such as lensa only exist because code is open source, they are selling the interface and gpu power to services such as image creation and dreambooth technology. they are not selling the code or the laion database. (also lanse in particular is doing other things that are really shady shitty practices, but what you are claiming is not one of those) that being said, you are actually mad at capitalism, not AI technology. in capitalism, automation means loss of jobs and insecurity about how you gonna live when your job gets automated. that's not a problem with AI, but with the way the economic system works
