AI / robot hybrids are the exciting part of ai. For example, there are self-driving, self-functioning ai firetrucks that can get closer to fires to help put them out faster and if they're damaged, they are just robots. Another example is a robot like dog thing that can help people carry heavy things over long distances. Some garbage companies use these robots to collect trash in rural areas where driving trucks is impossible.
