You dont understand how bad hallucinations can commonly be. In my field of legal research and writing, AI frequently generates answers to queries that includes non-existent court decisions (including detailed citations to alleged court decisions and "quotations" from the decisions and a complete "summary" of the madeup case. Lawyers who rely on this garbage in court briefs are frequently sanctione. I do not trust any AI information and must look up every citation, quotation, and summary. This makes using AI pretty pointless. Obviously, AI models don't require even the approximation of truth or reality.
Maybe this is good enough for lazy uneducated children, and perhaps even some scientists. But I require accuracy in my research and writing. I cannot trust AI, no matter the hype.
