US & UK have both been pushing for and investing in AI surveilance for some time now, and that includes pushing for Digital ID now too - we're going down a route that has the potential to be VERY distopian, with the presumption that everyone is guilty until proven innocent and it is mildly alarming that governments are happy enough to go "full steam ahead" with this kind of thing with little thought behind it!
