It's like any tool, it's all in how you use it. ChatGPT can help you augment your thinking but it is not a replacement for thinking. Lazy people want ChatGPT to do all the work (i.e. the lower brain stimulation) but if you use it in an active way to improve your thinking, it will increase your brain activity and knowledge. It's still garbage in garbage out.
