As an electrical and software engineer I hate this kind of misleading bullshit that exploits the technical illiteracy of the public. This is just a human-written script read by digitized voices. These are not robots or AI any more than an animatronic country bear playing a recording at Disney Land is. This presentation is also disgustingly dishonest in that the human-written scripts are meant to make it seem like these puppets are thinking, which they are not.
I do however find Ben's exposition to be honest, heartfelt and technically very accurate.
What concerns me is it seems that American computer scientists and geneticists are using China's reckless policies in order to advance these technologies irresponsibly.
