I don't think the assertion that 'LLMs are getting better every day' is remotely accurate. Maybe 6 months ago, that was correct, but it seems like we're running out of data to train models on. Fundamentaly, these models are poor at handling black swan events. The standard Adobe auto-cut feature you mentioned isn't new and used to just not be called ai. It likely isn't any type of large language model or algorithm generated via machine learning. This feature was in cellphone apps in 2009.
