In the words of dark souls enthusiasts, git gud. I’m mad that other artists are better than me all the time- but I’m mad at myself, not them, because im not where I want to be yet. At least put in the effort to get where you wanna go vs lamenting how you’re not “born with blue blood” like it’s some elitist group. We’re all just people throwing pigments on paper or rubbing a fake pencil on a digital screen. Some of us literally play with dirt. There’s nothing elitist about it. Edit: and furthermore, the only thing we’re “born” with is a desire to create and make things. That’s what creativity is, bringing something to life with our own two hands or tools to use at our disposal. Some will argue that AI is a tools but that’s not what I’m saying here. If you wanted to make art, you would, because you wanted to do it. Ai bros say it’s a waste of time because “a computer can do it better” but they just want the result of the thing, they don’t care about the time and dedication it takes to actually make the thing. The result is nice, but it’s just a part of the process. The joy of knowing you made it from your own skill, that’s what making art is about.
