It’s a good thing that I almost always don’t use AI when I get confused, stuck, and frustrated on something, especially when it comes to math. I always strive to use any method but AI to teach myself.
Every time I can’t understand anything in math, I just use YouTube videos for the subject I’m struggling with. Especially Organic Chemistry Tutor. If I can’t find what I’m looking for on the web, that’s when I use AI. But I try my best not to.
My take on AI: try to use AI as seldom as possible, and try to think for yourself. That doesn’t mean don’t use it, though - just use it when you absolutely have to.
You need to be able to use you brain in order to think for yourself, whether it be writing essays, understanding reasoning for math problems, being creative, etc.
Just depending on AI makes you connect to it, which doesn’t just make you lazy - it fosters an unhealthy relationship for the brain that inhibits growth.
