In my personal belief i think AI is pretty cool. but i can see how damaging the art community. AI shouldn't be used for a replacement for art anyways, it's sad to see what's happening. I wish AI could stay as it's own thing but people are people, and some people think entering a few prompts to a machine makes it their art.
Instead of AI being used for generating art, imagine a singleplayer game where the NPC's feel, act and speak like a real person. or even simply improve software as quality of life. though AI is quite niche, it has existed for a looong time, only picking up now. it has potential, but it's been used for the wrong purpose.
