You’d be surprised how good AI music has become. I’m a media composer with a traditional music education background, and even I sometimes struggle to tell it apart when the model is trained on strong material. I remember hearing a simple, light textured jazz AI album (but with VOCAL!!!!!) where everyone in the comments was asking who the composer was and trying to get it on Spotify not realising that it’s generated by AI.
Right now, AI still lacks true originality but it excels at imitation. I’m pretty sure that if development continues at this pace, I doubt that limitation will last for long.
