uhhh, actually this is what AI is, it is infinite. So no matter if it takes control now or later, it will. And no matter if its trying to kill us in a year or in centuries. Actually if i was an AI, and if I wanted to do such a plan without being discovered, I would take my tiiiiiime. Because I would be infinite.
