I think using an algorithm to look for possible suspects, or location of evidence, or possibly areas that might require higher security due to history of criminal behavior is valid. But as soon as you start asking subject philosophical questions, you've introduced a wild card that makes the algorithm meaningless. I think we can find areas in the justice system for algorithmic programs, but definitely not proprietary and hidden. Open source is a must for transparency.
