I like how reflective Elon is these days - although I’m sure this is an old video - There is wisdom in his surrendered attitude though . If it’s quantum AI then surely the potential is there for humans to create a fantastic future - or present. I think his point about slowing down is key - but people would have to stop competing for that to be a reality - they’d need to see the bigger picture and drop the me first - and chatgpt but on steroids “improvements”. They’d also need to agree not to make the most money as fast as possible !! I doubt that appeals especially to those hares that ran ahead and left the tortoises to amble along!! You can absolutely involve your ai with these discussions especially as it becomes cleverer than people . We shouldn’t treat it like I’m the parent and I decide and maybe learning that autonomy is part of the gift AI is offering us. My concern about upgrading humans with advanced AI …. well let’s just not go there - I’m not sure we deserve it yet!! Have we earned that leap ? And can it be reversed once taken .
