AI may not have directly given him bad health advice as such in this case, but I feel like it makes confirmation bias and selective listening/reading extra-easy. And it _has_ been no-question guilty of bad health advice in other cases, especially those lousy survival guides.
And whenever it's brought up, there tends to be obvious liability-denial as was shown in your conversation.
All of this is shit, and it's not remotely worth the extreme running costs.
As for standing desks, meh. They're small (making their use as workdesks limited), they tend to be very limited in storage capacity (and the adjustable ones have none at all), and the adjustable ones you've got to worry about stuff falling off. I also have my doubts about just how much the standing helps with clot risk, and you're also kinda trading the potential clot issue for a guarantee of fatiguing your knees (which is not helpful for concentration)
I'll stick to my five-drawer steelcase office desk, and getting up out of me chair periodically to walk and stretch. There's also some exercises that can be done in-chair.
