This will probably get deleted but the fear mongering by the ceos is a tactic to get public attention. Llms are not programmed to have self preservation like a person is. The black box bs is just people who don’t actually know how llms work pretending they do or are in positions of power their actual developers know exactly what the weights are for the model but if you are watching this and believe it you likely dont know what weights are either. Lots of people puppet ai for credibility this creator prompted an ai to “be evil and take over the world” in which of course the ai writes a narrative for entertainment. The same can be said when “researchers” (another fancy word for data analyst or lower tier position that simply test the ai… lots more of them than actual developers.) prompt an ai to be self aware then the ai says it is for a positive response.
Ps A LOT OF THE EMPLOYEES AT THESE AI COMPANIES DONT CODE AND ARE JUST SAYING THEY HAVE NO CLUE HOW IT WORKS.
