They've ended the war using nukes yet now you are concerned about human nature? You think machines are any different? Nothing has changed. The fact remains that one nutter can kill everyone & the machines remain the executioner. What you need is institutions, unions & coalitions. To make sure wealth is evenly distributed & politics don't mingle with private businesses. That will be far more efficient than chasing an AI hallucination just because it's named AI & you've discovered this chapter 50 years after it was written. Every AI operates in a domain & the domain is a mathematical abstraction. These are unidirectional calculations. The I in AI denotes an alternative way to find patterns in data. Instead of telling it how, we just memorize patterns. So AI is not intelligent like a human. We really just mean back propagation is mathematically clever. But it doesn't deliver reliable results as it uses baeysan reasoning which is based on probabilities. AIs are good transformers, so you better regulate fakes than worry about the term intelligence which you misinterpret in my opinion.
