the industrial revolution was supposed to give people more free time because machines took over the work. People were doing the "we are all going to lose our jobs" fear mongering back then as well. But, people work as hard or harder as a real result of industrialization, not less. AI isn't going to magically reduce workload either, it's just going to enable companies to exploit workers in new ways, and or drive consumerism up even further. Far from losing our jobs, we're going to require laws against exploitation.
