I heard that AI in just the last few weeks has begun learning at an exponentially faster rate than was previously anticipated. Experts think that AI may become sentient much sooner than the 3060 projection from a few years ago. I personally think we will destroy the planet long before we see actual AI but it's fascinating how far its advanced in the last few months.
