The way I see it... AI is not a threat and you're a fool if you think otherwise. Art... REAL ART doesn't need the cultural zeitgeist to survive. Neffex, Zeekers (developer of Lethal Company), Markiplier (Iron Lung), ALL of these are creating projects that rival the bland masses which might aswell already be created by AI. Did Disney's Wish seem like a piece of Art? No. It was a paint by numbers slog fest meant to prey on the week minds of the masses, just like AI art does. How many AAA games failed this year, and if not failed how many of them are just not as good as the indie projects? Film... Markiplier looks like he's making a FANTASTIC movie based on the trailers without the AAA funding and production backing. Let the mindless masses have their slop, real art isn't going to die... the only artists afraid of losing out are the bad ones. I should know... i'm a sh*t artist who wasted his time getting an art degree. Now I can't find work because my sh*t isn't as good as what AI can do. I screwed up and sought out a creative line of work without being creative... and based on the slop that i've seen pumped out the last 5 years... I'm not the only one who did this. So if you're worried about AI art taking away your following or business... you're just not that good. Because REAL people will always seek out good artists to create real works. I use AI art all the time for characters I create as a DM but for characters that I play... I almost always draw them or get them commissioned by a real person... and i'm not alone in that. The voices outcrying against AI art support this... so stop focusing on the negatives... let the mainstream have AI art... let us.. the real people have the real art.
