I think a good amount of the "Dark Fantasy Art" that you said was on Tik Toc last year was at least inspired by author/artist Gerald Brom.
Also, as many people have said the "It's inevitable so why fight it?" has to be the MOST dystopian argument I've ever heard, but such helplessness in the face of those in power finding ways to make other PEOPLE more expendable is depressing AF. I'm sure that if we put enough research into it, a good AI could replace a Human CEO, & certainly an accounting department, but of course none of them want THEIR cushy jobs eliminated.
The only thing I've seen that I've found "good" about AI images is when it fails spectacularly, if you've ever looked up AI art attempting to do photorealistic images of activities like Yoga, or Gymnastics, it's hilarious. On funny thing is AI "art" is starting to cannibalize itself so the idea that "A spear in use being in hand is optional" gets spread from one AI image to any descendants that used IT as a reference.
