Yes Ezra, we are being sold a bill of goods. Who remembers how computers were going to shorten our work week, and create a paperless office? Did not happen. In fact it went the opposite direction. The amount of civic mindedness in Silicon Valley is less than the mass of my pinkie. Of course the bigger issue is the demands that Hegseth has for AI suppliers to the DoD with NO guardrails and, oh by the way, a government blackball for any and all of those companies that do come with guardrails. Things aren't looking promising except for a handful of very dangerous people.
