Tesla's Autopilot has crashed numerous times - but lawmakers (ie insurance companies) want the human element removed from the equation (IMHO) so autonomous driving is coming like a steam train outta control! Everybody's jumping on it. Just watch your favorite Chinese dashcam compilation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_2c8kaXCKI&pp=wgIGCgQQAhgB) and you will see why. Motorcycles operated by humans will have no place in this scenario. I sincerely hope it doesn't come to this but I predict that it will sooner than later. Thoughts?
WARNING: some EXTREMELY BRUTAL footage in that clip I linked. How long is the Chinese citizenry (CCP) going to put up with the driving insanity being witnessed there? There are 1000's of Teslas on the roads of China. They are a major player in all of this as we are addicted to their outputs. Another point - California has legislated away gasoline-powered cars by the year 2035 - so who is going to be selling gasoline when 85% (you pick a number) of their sales are gone? Will they stick around to fuel up motorcycles? Better start looking at electric 🙂 BTW I am a rider since 1976, current ride is a Yamaha FJR1300 which I love.
