You missed the biggest drawback to self-driving cars: people will have their own personal driving skills erode and they will be lazy lumps of meat just along for the ride.
A close second to that drawback is the fact that people's ability to navigate around the town will be degraded because they'll be used to the car doing the thinking for them.
Then there is also the fact that you will have to go the route the car has decided to go instead of your preferred path. The Independence to choose to turn left or turn right when the wind strikes you.
