as a very junior programmer, this was obvious years ago. AI cannot think, it cannot reason like a human. Long term affects mean nothing. There is no morality, there is no critical thinking. We are killing the planet for data centers for a lackluster result. What good is AI if no one has a job ? Some of the code I have seen by AI would have gotten me a close to failing grade, and I went to a tech school.
