I see the obvious political motivated intentions waved through this video, especially the scenarios where you depict certain real people doing certain actions in a way that might not be that reputable nor an accurate testimony to their actions. As I was saying the concept of a UBI was heavily commended throughout this video however I feel that many of the positives displayed throughout this video are undermined by the cons. Listen, I understand the concept of a theoretical UBI being considered great and is probably inevitable considering how AI may replace all human jobs however if all people were on government welfare theres are a few problems, minus the highly increased national debt. For one, if the government were to ever shut down or be compromised in any way, it's an immediate stop to all of your income. Along with that it also makes you very reliant on others, would have to be constantly updated with inflation (which let's face it, considering the current national minimum wage it would be inevitable.) it would turn every citizen in the United States for, well, lack of better words, incredibly lazy. A much better fix would be to give people physical jobs in which a robot would be too expensive to do, for example going back to our roots (no pun intended,) in being a rancher. Raising livestock and other low maintenance tasks could both help boost the economy along with lowering the prices of food. This is one of many examples out there and honestly in my opinion I think it's better for one to feel useful. With AI in our daily lives, genuent hard work can make one truly feel satisfied, far more than any machine can satisfy us. Look at me, I'm writing this whole spiel myself with no AI, sure it may be hard work but sure do I feel pretty good about it.
