Hello, (Oracle) Programmer since 35 years here. AI (chatgpt, Claude,…) mostly generate more problems than solutions. This is my personal experience, yes it does generate statements if described precisely, but no way it can handle inter-department problems, look ahead / think ahead why e.g. a calculated variable will have another value in another context. There is much more a programmer sos than just writing code.
I see these systems more of a way to get new ideas but no way it can replace programmers as of now.
