It's only a matter of time before these stuffs pop back into the public's consciousness. They are thriving pre-pandemic and continued to thrive throughout it. They made terrible amounts of progress with the AI/video generation boom of the last few years. They will continue to improve in the foreseeable future and there are people out there dedicating so much time in these things.
I do not want to spread paranoia but the inevitable truth is that keeping your own pictures online, public or private, is becoming less and less sensible to do.
