Garbage-in garbage-out applies to all code, even if it's written by other code. Companies are experimenting with hard-working people and with a whole lot of plausible deniability and "acceptable loss". What happens if the state uses AI to track payments of property taxes and gaps in the payment records suddenly appear? Machines have no moral or ethical attachment to the result. They can also provide a way for entities to bypass the existing stabilizing forces in any market. Anyway, you have good instincts, if I may call it that.
