my personal view on art is that it is a medium for expression. ai has NOTHING to express, and thus it cannot be considered art. while it could be argued that "writing a prompt is expression," it is such a MINIMAL part of the creation process that i would render it insignificant. thats like commissioning a piece but passing it off as your own because "you came up with the idea". ON TOP OF THAT, the artwork you commissioned is an amalgamation of other artists work sloppily stitched together into something "presentable". how people look at that as a good thing is beyond me 🥹
