My work has been in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston twice and I absolutely LOVE AI Generated Art because it allows the artist the opportunity to Verbalize a Vision, their Words are the Colors their Breath the Brush (or the clickity clack of their fingertips on the keyboard lol).
I don't see AI as a problem for artist I see it as an Ally. Any artist afraid of AI isn't confident enough in their own creative style. As for AI taking "Inspiration" from other artists works, well, inspiration is one thing, but I would consider a lot of this "copying" other artists work as Appropriation Art which is the practice of artists using pre-existing objects or images in their art with little transformation of the original. and it's absolutely Legal
