I need to finish listening to this interview, but like a lot of experts Hinton has developed a few mantras and sound bites which keep surfacing. However the biggest advantage of AI is its ability to communicate and pass on information (learn) millions of times faster than humans that are constrained by voice, vision, writing, listening, feel etc. Wars by proxy are the biggest worry and if you combine fanatical ideology with WMDs you are in deep trouble. If we cannot stop the creation of WMDs we must stop the rise of global ideology.
