Really enjoyed the video, makes a number of great points and even addresses my "there may be usecases, but at this point it's just a capitalist gamble with people not realizing they're being ripped off while chasing a carrot". My favorite personal anecdote will remain the "Markov" bot we had on IRC 20 years ago (the concept it was based on is turning 120 next year), which did impressions of users which was good for laughs and did a decent job half of the time, but all of us being aware that it's just maths and letters in the end.
