I really dislike Elon Musk and I don't think Teslas are great cars but as with everything, facts should matter. This will be a huge thing in the future where we get more and more self driving where the car company takes responsibility for what the car does. They won't want to pay and people will try to put blame on them because they of course don't want to pay as well. With your expertise, you should open a consulting company that analyzes such incidents for court and earn a ton of money. I guess this field will become huge the more level 3+ systems we have on the road.
