on the statement "Microsoft owning nuclear weapons" Why is this thing allowed to be privately owned? if AI is going either be the Doom or the Savior of humanity, why isn't this thing a neutral cooperated global effort that does not belong to any one person or nation? I would even go as far as. to say that the oversight of AI would and should be its own government beholden to law set by global world leaders who seek the benefit of humanity and not by any one nation due to the biases and difficulties each nation and its populace faces. in this way every nation would be able to participate in how this thing is developed and in what directions it goes in. sort of like government today. but instead of it being "the citizen participates in the government" it would be be "the nations of the world participate in AI" and the will of each nation is decided upon by its citizens and not any one exclusive group.
