I see the argument, but they went about it all wrong with wording and such. There are people out there who didn't have the opportunity to practice as much as a lot of artists. Or they simply could not get their own abilities where they wanted them. AI is great for people like that. You have an image in your head that AI can bring to life in minutes. And that's really amazing. But you won't get the same level of care and quality that an artist can provide. I've had people bring me AI images and ask me to to spruce them up. (Those hands can be WACK sometimes) I don't mind that. I know one day AI will get to a point where artists are unnessasary. But then artists will become a luxury. Everyone will have AI art, but having human art will be like having a Picasso. Like how hand made butter is something some will pay silly amounts for over store bought. I feel that's sadly just how we work as a species.
