Great explanation. I certainly understand the anger. My whole problem with this is the name calling. I've seen far too many professional artists I once had great respect for belittling AI users, calling them ALL talentless hacks. How is that helping??
I'm sorry to hear about the bullying and harassment you've experienced, but AI users are also experiencing it. I'm not seeing much compassion or understanding about why people are using it, just a lot of assumptions that every user is selling what they're generating and making profits off the backs of stolen images.
I see that Instagram is flooded with AI images, and it's becoming more and more difficult to find traditional non AI work. I am annoyed by it as well. I just wish we could all listen to each other and try to find some common ground here, instead of taking sides. This is splitting the art community in a very ugly way, at a time when I think we need to pull together to regulate this.
