I once had a job opportunity to teach AI to solve chemical engineering problems. As a chemical engineer, I didnt need a PhD to realize i would be teaching something to replace me and many others in my field.
Software engineers and programmers, unfortunately, weren't smart enough to realize they were shooting themselves in the foot. At least we can take solace in knowing they are onboard the same train as us once AI learns to rewrite itself.
