Without alternate pathways ,AI should be restricted before business uses it against Human Resources. Yes that’s realistic for business to think ahead or satisfy investors with less manpower cost. But letting down workforce without creating or increasing business size or increased market share is a pity. Showing profits by cutting out headcount is a concern and that’s should be protected by government policies. Companies cannot in one day decide layoffs in a Ai world, employees should have more protection and it’s high time that hire & fire policy should be reconsidered at Policy level. Stricter policy is required with Ai taking over jobs, there won’t be jobs in the market. Right from upskill plans , alternate pathway adoption, to more protection of jobs should be initiated by government bodies. Otherwise the world will be a different place in the next 2-3 years. Ai is an amazing technology but definitely needs more stricter rules.
