So let me play devils advocate for a second.
Our brain is just electrical signals going through a network of neurons. Why would that ever produce consciousness? Arguing whether ai is conscious or not is a bit silly if you don’t even know what makes people conscious. Maybe it is maybe it isn’t. I don’t believe it is, but the only reason I believe people are sentient is because I believe my experience to be sentient.
